About James Tait

I am primarily a sculptor, but also paint on paper.  My works are abstract, but I draw inspiration from the shapes and colours of the landscape.  I work mainly with painted steel or wood.  My aim is 'to please the eye and feed the soul'.

I exhibit with the Surrey Sculpture Society and annually with AppArt shows. I have exhibited works at the Eton College Gallery, Royal Academy, Globe Gallery, Cranleigh Threes, and various open shows including Light Box open and London Group open.  For the month of March 2014 I held a solo show of paintings and sculptures in the Robert Phillips Gallery, Walton on Thames.

In October 2019 I moved from Shepperton to Defford, near Pershore, and my workshop and studio are there also.
